Hi guys...

I'm buidling a new rig with:

e8500 (hopefully getting E0)
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066
ASUS EN9800GT ULTIMATE/HTDP/512M GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
Antec NeoPower 650 Blue 650W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply OR Antec NeoPower 650 Blue 650W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

I've preselected these motherboards.. I would want to OC the cpu but not over 1.3v, So If any of these boards has a better FSB oceability, please tell me.

Which one do you think performs better for the price? By budget is around 100-170 for the MB.

Oh, I'm also concerned qualitywise. Once I had an Asus MB, pretty old, with electrolytic caps and they just started to leak.

I'm guessing Gigabyte and MSI have good. quality

So, which one?

If you are not going to Xfire (i assume because of the Nvidia gfx card) then i would go for the Asus P5Q-E. If you can afford it try the Asus P5E deluxe:

But only for overclocking. BTW why don't you want to go over 1.3v? do you mean before or after droop (original setting, idle or at load)? with 45nm high-k like penryn you can go alot higher than that safely with only a mid range air cooler (i speak from experience - QX9650 at 4Ghz on air with idle of 1.38v load of 1.32v)

Actually, after vdroop.

I mean, not over 1.3v, full load, showing real voltages in cpu-z

Just to be safe.. Im not sure if I'll get a 3rd party HSF or go with the stock. I don't even know if the stock hsf will be able to handle any kind of OC at all. But that's another matter.

First I gotta decide on the MB.

I like the deluxe. Price is a bit too much for me atm.

I hear P45 is pretty solid. Is the X48 worth it?

I guess I'm between the asus p5q-e and the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R
