First, this is a great forum and I have been lurking for quite some time and have learned tons due to all the intelligent people here. But now I have some of my own questions. I am building my second PC and need to know a few things before the build. I was looking at the Thermalright Ultra 120. I would love to use this heatsink but will it fit a XFX 790i motherboard:

It is just what I am looking for but if I cannot use that heatsink what would you all reccomend? I was thinking about something such as:

Lastly, is a 800 watt power supply enough to power all that and a XFX GTX 280 GPU?

Thank you for the help.

The Zalman should fit. Not sure on the Thermalright though...

The 790i from XFX is a great board, despite what people tell you. Any objective person who has reviewed it has given it high marks.

800Watts should be plenty. Might even be enough to SLI two 280's, but make sure its from a decent vendor before you use it.

thanks for all the responses. I think I will go with the zalman heatsink. For the power supply, I am looking at the BFG ES-800. Any experiences with it? The reviews were good so it cannot be too bad

I forgot to mention the other benefit of the TX2 is that the shroud on the back directs a portion of the air onto the chipset heatpipe fins to help cool the chipset.
