Which card? GX2, GTX, or 4870?

Is the GX2 worth the money? I'm on a budget and not sure if it's worth the cash.

Though about intel 2.4 quad core, 4gb ram, 850w psu. and on a budget of around $1200 that's with taxes + ship.

Would the GTX or 4870 be a better alternative? possibly SLI?

Thanks.

I agree, I LOVE the 4870s. They currently do have some driver issues, but they are to be soon resolved. True, the GX2s are better than a 4870, but DUH! They have 2 GPUs! Of course they will beat a 4870. Anyways 4870 is probably your best bang for the buck.

Yeah, because the 7950GX2 is a better card than the 4870 because it has 2 GPUs..

The 4870 stands toe-to-toe with the GX2 in most games, and also beats it. It'll also probably perform better in future titles.

The GX2 and GTX 280 outperform the 4870 but not by a huge amount, since youre on a budget i'd say 4870 all the way. And I think 850w is a bit high, even a 650 could handle crossfire, make sure you get a good brand.

4870...if ATI can capture substantial market share more developers will use dx10.1 coding thus making the ATi cards really shine... just like Creedgate proved.

Any idea what a good motherboard would be to support the 4870? One that would support crossfire, were I to buy another one down the line.

Like i said I wanted the intel quad 2.4, 4gb crucial ballistix. My friend has the same setup and is OCed to a stable 3.4, but he has the GX2 and the ASUS P5E LGA 775 mobo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131219 But i dont see a point in spending this much on a mobo.

Thanks.
