I have a machine that I'm trying to overclock (I'm a beginner at this) but failing miserably and would like any assistance possible:

CPU: Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.4ghz
Motherboard: MSI P43 NEOF-R
Cooling System: Artic Cooler and Heat Sink, 2 case fans (front and back)

If I increase it even up to 2.5ghz, it falls over (boots up then restarts itself, in a loop) and I have to reset the bios.

Below is a screen shot of the current voltage levels with the CPU at native speed:

If anyone has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. If you require further screenshots or stats/details, just ask.

Many thanks

And the temperature guide:

Temperatures look high for and idle temp. Your cooler is sort of mediocre. It's a great economy cooler, but I wouldn't try to push a Q6600 past about 3.2 - 3.3 GHz.

And if the picture shows the default setup, you apparently got a chip with a relatively high VID.

OTOH, you should be able to reach 3.2 - 3.3 GHz.
