I just got got: Inspiron 530, CORE 2 QUAD Q6600, 6g RAM, 2.40 GHz, 1 PCI Express, 2PCI slots, vista, (ALL STOCK).
im new at computers
how do i overclock? what is the best graphix card <$300, sound card <$150,
im a gamer, would i need to get a bigger case for cooling, and would i be able to move everything to the new case myself? (im hands on)

hate to break it to you but getting a dell and then trying to mod it really wasnt the best idea. although im sure you got a pretty good deal most of the dell part are proprietary. (or atleast they were) The BIOS on that board will most likely not allow you to change any of the settings.

you can however add a graphics card if your power supply is capable of handling it. as well as a sound card

Dell + OCing = Painfull experience (although with a software OCing utility you may get somewhere, but probably not.....)

Something called Clockgen might help you.

But be warned it probably will not work (a newer version is in the works) its probably not compatible with Vista and this WILL violate any warrenty you have with Dell (if you tell them about it or they figure it out on there own)

wouldn't recommend using software to overclock. Dell = no overclocking for the most part, unless you buy the super expensive models even then, i think vcore is still locked.
