Creative Inpire 5700 speakers with Xi-Fi Platinum

Hope someone can help with this little problem , i have a new computer with a Creative Xi-Fi platinum souncard . The speakers i have are the Creative Inspire 5700 ...these connected to my old computer with a Audigy 2 zs soundcard using just the one connector in the line in socket i think using the digital din option ..

I have since heard that these speakers will not work with the X-Fi as they need analog connections to get the 5.1 sound ....is this correct .

Do i need new speakers or can i purchase an adaptor that will allow my 5700 speakers to work with it .

I can get the Logitech 540 speakers fairly cheaply so is that a better option ...or maybe the Creative I Trigue 6100 speakers .
