Hi, I don't know if this is the right section of the forum for this, but let me just get to my problem.

I just installed Daemon Tools Lite to run TOCA Race Driver 3 without a CD. I got the crack from Gamecopyworld.com and put it in. The game and the computer were running normally.

Then we had to go eat dinner and my brother left the game running so he could return to it after eating. Once we got back to the computer, we saw that the game had crashed, the computer unresponsive, and artifacts filling the screen.

I had to reset the computer and when on the Windows loading and logon screen, the screen was littered with artifacts and the computer was near unresponsive. I couldn't even do much before the computer crashed. I tried a system restore and it failed.

So I am just leaving it alone for now and will get back to it once I find out the problem.

COMPUTER SPECS

AMD Athlon 64x2 6400+ Black Edition Dual Core Processor (3.21 GHZ)
ASUS Crosshair mobo
4x1GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 800MHZ Gaming Ram
320GB Western Digital HDD
nVidia Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB Superclocked
Antec Earthwatts 650W

I have had problems with the HDD in the past and reformatting usually fixed it (a few times I had to reformat twice to get it fixed) so I am suspecting that the HDD is nearing the end of its life. I just hope it is not the GPU, that would make me very angry.

Thanks,
Brandon

You may have problems with some of your hardware but if you had AVG running while you were downloading from that maggot ridden site you might have found that a virus or trojan was causing it. ............. some people learn the hard way........... good luck to ya.

I did have AVG running. I had to add an exception to the CD Crack because I believed it to be a false positive. Maybe it wasn't and fked me over? Hmm. And I never had problems with GCW before.
