Dell inspiron 6000

Hello,
i have a dell 6000, when i turn it on the xp starting sequence begins nad suddenly it shuts off with a message of fatal erro and a lot of zeroes followed by a 5, what could be the problem

Do you have the CD media to do a repair install? Or the recovery CD?

Tap F8 repeatedly on startup. Can you access safe mode?
