More Information

Hi all.

I have a problem with the above mentioned card. I hadn't played any PC games for about 6 months and recently I installed a few and was having major overheating problems (67 c idle and finally last night it went up to 110 c in game). I took the card apart, cleaned it and replaced the paste with some arctic silver. When i rebooted the idle temp went down to 47 c, great or so I thought. Now everytime I go to start a game or 3d app. the card shuts down but all the fans in my PC remain on and the power lights are still on.

I have just done a fresh XP install and the problem still remains. I have tried both 8.6 and 7.6 catalyst drivers and the problem still remains.

Anyone have any suggestion please.
