I have a Radeon 9800 pro but when connected to my display, it shows vertical stripes of red color or other color. thus i cannot see what's in the background. I tested my display (monitor) with my laptop and it shows fine. Would it be the video card damaged?

Yeah Man its, the VGA time takes its toll, jejej even the mighty 9800 Series its time to swap it maybe for Ati 1650 pro, should perform just as well o a newer 2600 pro would probably be better.
