I have this brand new psu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSU (TX650W) and I've installed it with my XFX 9600 GT which needs only 400
watt minimum. Every time i try loading a game, it crashes my entire
computer and it reboots itself. My screen goes black and the monitor
goes to sleep, and the sound crashes at the same time, creating a loop
sound at whatever was being emitted from the speakers at that moment. I
was wondering if it was my graphics card that was creating the problem, but it wasn't, everything was going fine, and it
was at temperature of 115 Fahrenheit which is normal for the 9600's and
I also thought that it couldn't be it because why would the sound crash
along with it?I've also freshly installed my os XP SP2What could the problem be?
Please respond to me because i need to use this computer very badly.
Can anyone provide me with any kind of help? Thanks in advanced.
Not loading a game and the PC runs fine?
Load a game = PC crashes. A specific game? or just any game at all?
Does the PC crash if you play one of the Windows games like Solitaire or Hearts?
moment killer, thats exactly what my problem is, it happens to me in tf2, it just goes blackj and i cant pay and it may sometimes reboot itself after that
caution, regardless if they say if that's one of the most reliable PSU's they have, that PSU may say 400 watts, but it may not be able to power that card. For example, someone I know had a PSU that was supposed to be like 450 watts but had like 16-17 amps on the 12v+ rail. Vs I had a 400 watt at the time that had 20 amps on the 12v+ rail. Your PSU may not really have enough power to power that card. When you look at a PSU, look at the amps on the 12v+ rail mostly, not the wattage. There are many PSU's that say 600 watts or 500 watts and can't put down the power a good 450 watt unit can.
