i dont want to get a quad extreme just yet due to price so ive gone with the E8500 which seems to be a good chip but i need help to choose what is the best motherboard, memory and gpu?
cuz people have said that ati r realeasin a new gpu soon and that 1066mhtz is **** any feed back muchly appreciated
yes, both ati and nvidia are releasing new chips soon, wait to buy a gpu until they come out, as for memory unless you heavily overclock then ddr2 800 is fine, you can over clock the e8400 to e8500 on a stock cooler and save a little money as for motherboard msi p45 looks like a good board and isn't much more expensive than p35 counterparts

The E8500 isn't worth the extra cost... do yourself a favor and go with the E8400. You can overclock that cpu to 3.6 just by moving up the FSB (8x400) , that way you won't have to up the voltage sans no heat issues. And like gator said, the MSI P45 board and DDR2 800 memory ftw.
