Currently right now I'm in the process of obtaining parts during the next month or two for a new computer. Eventually, I hope to put it together before the end of August with the bare minimum necessary to get it going with room for later upgrades I'll do when I have more money.
Right now, there's a a special going on NewEgg for the following power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817339002. Until August 4th, it's 79.99 + tax + free shipping. I haven't been able to find many reviews on this besides the customer reviews on NewEgg, so I'm on the fence whether or not this would be a good buy considering the deal offered in this week's NewEgg newsletter. I want to know as soon as possible if this would be okay to buy it now or just past on it and spend a little more money later on for a more well-known brand.
Here's the final setup I hope to put together either toward the end of this year, or the beginning of next year.
Either a Intel E8500 or Q6600 processor
2 HD4870s
4 SATA hard drives (Minimum size being 160gb or 500gb as the max)
2 120mm fans for front and back of case
1 floppy drive
1 DVD+/-RW Burner
1 X48 motherboard (undecided on which one to get)
2x1GB DDR3 1600 or above
1 Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Card or equivalent
That's basically it, so if the power supply that's on special this weekend is good enough, then I'll take it. If not, then other recommendations would be nice as well and I'll get whatever is best out of the ones you guys mention.
