These cards aren't out yet...obviously, so this is just more speculation. Would you think a PCI-E 1.1 x16 would slighty limit the overall potential of a 4850X2 or 4870X2? Does Anyone with a 3870 X2 have any personal experience? Thanks for the input.

Personally, if I were you, I'd pick up the HD4800X2 + another 2 gig ram kit. 4 gigs are becoming standard now. Don't know what os, but Vista is choking with 1 gig.

I would stick with a single 4870 and get the 2 more gigs of memory. Your not going to gain enough out of the not yet cards to justify the price tag with the mobo that you have. Right now the 4870 sometimes beats out the older 3870 x2. So far only crysis is the only real system killer and the 4870 plays it well. I have the same problem with the older pci-e so I'm sticking to one card myself

Thanks for the input, i should also put that i am running Win XP Pro 32bit and not Vista. I haven't seen a big need to change the OS and 2 gigs of ram should be just fine with xp. I had 3gb before, 2x1gb and 2x512mb. I can't tell the difference now running 2x1gb. I can't play Crysis on my native res, i get around 9-14 fps at 1680x1050 with all set to medium. :(
