Find the following location in Registry and set the icon you want to see.

Create the Following keys in registry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons\C]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons\C\DefaultIcon]
@="X:\\Icons\\Interesting Icons\\Home.ico"

For each drive you have to create similar keys and sub-keys and change the default value to the location of the icon.

To simplify things, Save this as ".reg" file and execute it after editing the location of your icon.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons\C]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\DriveIcons\C\DefaultIcon]
@="X:\\Icons\\Interesting Icons\\Home.ico"
