My computer is a Dell XPS Gen5 which uses a 650W PSU.
I've recently gotten a Nvidia 9800GX2 graphics card but when I went to install it I realised that my PSU was lacking one connector as the card requires two (P6 and a P8)

Is there any way to get an extra connector from my PSU via some sort of adaptor?

Looking for other solutions I came across a dell to ATX power supply converter as my machine requires a Dell PSU but Dell do not make a suitable upgrade.

If I were to get a non dell PSU would the converter work with my XPS Gen5 parts?

Due to case size restrictions if the convertor was viable I would be looking to use an external PSU such as ST-600EAZ from Seventeam. Although open to other suggestions.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks

If you have the 650 watt psu, you would use the 2 pcie connectors "P4" and "P5", then just use a jumper on the last 2 pins of the 8 pin power port on the card.
Or you could look for a 6 to 8 pin pcie adapter.
