Hi I'm seeing some bad results on my drive's SMART status, viewed through HD Tune 2.55

These are in RED:

Spin up time 253 8 21 Failed
Write Error Rate 1 1 51 Failed

Does this mean the hard drive is failing and I should take it off?

How did you get a 750GB Raptor?

Reinstall the controller driver and try again.

Made a mistake, its actually a WD Caviar SE16. Same result if I uninstall it and let it install again.

Run manufacturer hard disk diagnostics.
Run Speedfan also and check their results.

If the drive is still working and you have some important info on it, get it off ASAP.
Once you've ran all of your test and you're sure that it working porperly, you can start storing data on it again. Until then I wouldn't take any chances.

Dying drive, it happens. Back up what you can, replace and keep going.
