Evening all,

OK, so this system is the first one I have built from scratch - As follows:-

AMD Phenom x4 9650 2.3Ghz
Gigabyte GA-M720-US3 AMD Nvidia 720D Socket AM2+ 7.1 channel audio ATX Motherboard
2x 2Gb OCZ 800mhz DDR2
ATI Radeon HD4670 512mb GDDR3
650w PSU
Hiper Anubis

I know this isn't the best set up by far but it's my first!

I have found constructing system very addictive and already purchasing parts to build an intel system.

Secondly, and most importantly, I have overclocked manually using BIOS for first time and believe what I think to be a modest OC - Your thoughts:-

Multiplier to x11
FSB 240Mhz
RAM: 799Mhz (Drop multilplier to 3.33)

This has given a moddest (IMO) 2.65Ghz stressed with Prime95, working. Only reached 53degress with basic cooling. No errors and seems stable.

I havent altered voltage or anything yet as just getting into OC. I am however, able to under my guarantee, to OC my voltage on RAM to 2.1v from 1.9v - is this worthwhile?

Basicly Id like to know if i'm on right path for OCing and what other ppl have achieved with same processor (I know its far from best and no Q6600)

Cheers

OK, so now I managed to OC to 2.79Ghz...

Multiplier x11
FSB 255Mhz
Ram 850Mhz with 1.9V (from 1.8v)

I cant get past this, refuses to boot :(

Anyone know any better setting, would like to achieve 2.8 maybe or is 2.79 good for my CPU
