i got a a 8800gt recently. till about a week back may be, i use to get my 3dmark scores around 12408. my cpu is a q6600 oc'd to 2.7 ghz. but today just out of my interest, when i looked at my benchies. it dropped to 11398. about 1000 points lower than before. is there a problem with my GPU.

PLEASE TELL NO...

also tell me whether my GPU is dying or something or is there a problem with my OS??? :((

and ya, i use an coolermaster extremepowerplus 460w, giving a total of 27a on the +12v rails.

There is NO problem with anything in your system and your scores are fine:)

Well when i installed Windows XP for the first time and my HDD was empty i installed 3DMARK 06 and i got about 13k(E6600@3.2+8800GTX@ULTRA+4GB) and after a few months i ran again and i got about 12k, so dont worry about the change and as i said your score is fine

Also dont really worry about 3DMARK 06 or other apps like this, play games well without any problems with good FPS and u will be fine :)

thanx Maziar. actually, i tried reinstalling my previous driver, its like back to normal, so i m think about the best driver for the 8800gt. i previously used the 174.16 forceware WHQL, which seems to be best dirver wat the nvidia site detected. but its not preferable. so can u help me with a good driver??? also give me the link frm where i can download

I myself have the 169.21 driver and its very good so i haven't upgraded
