Dual hdd

i have added a second hdd to my dell. it is installed and the pc see's it. it is set as slave. but the pc continues to use the primary c: and not the d: do i need to set xp to d: and use c: as storage?? the goal was to keep c: from filling up and slowing my norm. pc useage

Yes is necesary set to D, but when you install XP on D automatically the OS label the partition is changed to C.
