Im looking at an i7 920 build, and OCing to about 3.8Ghz on air
The only problem i haven't figured out is on a normal motherboard, how to get the ram up to 1600mhz (OCZ Platinum 3x2GB CL7 1.65V).
The extreme version of the gigabyte uses dual bios, and shows u how to increase it from 1066 to 1600. So could i do it on a P6T? and what would the specs be?

sorry for being such a n00b :S

Typically you can adjust the memory mulitplier. By default the memory multi is usually 8. 133 x 8 = 1066mhz ram.

You can adjust it to 12, 133 x 12 = 1600mhz.

The other way is to increase your bclk, which you plan on doing. You'll need to hit bclk of (200 x 19 = 3.8ghz CPU) 200 x 8 = 1600mhz RAM.

the odds of hitting a 200 bclk are pretty low, I would plan on 190 x20, everyone seems to be able to hit that with a decent cooler (not the stock one).

I would set the mem volts to 1.64, cpu to 1.25 everything else at auto

edit: and turn turbo off, it'll jump to 4.0 and 1.25 is not enough for that
