currently building new system. antec 1200 case which has 9 internal drive bays...

my planned mobo has 6 internal sata ports... if i want to eventually fill the 9 bays with 9 drives, what do I do as I'm short 3 sata connections? Am i forced to buy a controller card to get extra ports, or is there a way to split cables?

sorry if a dumb question...

I'm in same situation as grither but even dumber.

What kind of controller card will I be looking for?

(Have tried 4 local shops here in Thailand, and they got, not surprisingly, no clue of what I'm talking about).

Cheers,
ThaiJan

You could use an SATA port multiplier, but I'm not sure where you would buy it.
