Ok so I've been reading many reviews about 8800GT's, but hardly any of them compare brands. From what I understand, the difference in performance in brands is almost none if any, it's only what comes in the box and warranties that differ. I just wanted to make sure before spending any money that I'm getting the right card.

I'm trying to find the best 8800GT for under $250CDN from this site -> http://canadacomputers.com

Here is a list of 512 GTs found on the site, listed in order of price:

XFX GeForce 8800GT XXX 670/1950 - $165 (Somehow cheaper than the stock one and all other GTs on the site, no clue as to why this is)
Zotac 8800GT 512MB AMP! Edition 700/2000 - $170 (Trust worthy brand?)
Asus GeForce 8800GT 600/1800 - $182
BFG GeForce 8800GT OC 625/1800 - $195
BFG GeForce 8800GT OCX 700/2000 - $205
XFX GeForce 8800GT 600/1800 - $207
EVGA e-GeForce 8800GT 600/1800 - $227
EVGA e-GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 650/1900 - $230 (Only $3 more than the stock one :S)

What are the benefits of each brand? my first thought was to buy the EVGA SC and OC it to the SSC, but then I stumbled across the XXX for an even cheaper price. This is all too confusing for me.

Of the ones you had listed i'd go with the XFX 8800GT XXX

Good brand, good OC, great warranty, not a very good cooling solution

might look at this one- XFX 8800GT, not OC, but with the Zalman fan at $160

Nice, I wonder if that can OC to the specs of the XXX.

Go with the XFX XXX edition (that's a lot of Xs) if the card overheats buy an aftermarket cooler, XFX warranty covers that and OCing.

It's a great brand and you'll get better reselling value with the double lifetime warranty too.

And btw, most if not all cards can easily be OCed past the factory OC settings, those are just moderate OCs
