According to newegg.com, this board cannot use a Phenom CPU. (I'm not positive, but I think you can update your BIOS and be able to use a Phenom) It is only able to use 8gb of DDR2 ram. As for the video card, PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible, but the card won't be running at it's full speed with this board.

HELLO

1. http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20090131213455081&board_id=1& ;model=M2N32-SLI+Deluxe&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
I have m2n32-sli deluxe with Vista32. Replaced 9850BE with 940 BE with 2101 bios. Cleared CMOS before initial start. Running 212x17=3600 at 98F idle (84f MB),vCore at 1.4v. Also have 9600GT at 512 with 4G OCZ SLI Memory at 800-5-5-5-2t-15, 2.1v. 3dmark06 score = 11000.
The "unkown Proc." doesn't seem to affect anything.

Ok I've just spent the last 2 hours getting my new Phenom II 720 BE to work on my M2N32 SLI Deluxe, here's my findings.

BIOS 2205 does NOT work.

I managed to post my PC under 2205 (after hard reset the CMOS data with jumper), in fact, 2205 recognized the new 720 BE CPU, however after I setup all the settings, saved it and reboot, my PC just doesn't POST.

I've to reset the CMOS again to make my PC to post again, but everytime I reboot it won't post until I reset CMOS memory.

So after 10 tries, I've rolled back to BIOS 2101 and while the cpu is not recognized, it worked. I can save my data and reboot properly.

The default vCore voltage is set to 1.36v if you use the "Auto" setting, and the CPU runs really hot (55-60C) I've to manually set the vCore down to 1.30v to run it slightly cooler.

I've managed to run it @ 3200 Mhz (200 with 16x multiplier) @ 1.30v.

I hope this info helps whoever want to run a Phenom II x3 720 BE on a M2N32 SLI Deluxe.

p.s. since BIOS 2205 recognized the 720 CPU, I strongly believe the next BIOS release will properly support the new AM2+/AM3 Phenom CPUs.

Yes guys in order to run the newer Phenom cpu, you need to install Bios version 2207. After updating your Bios to that version everything should run fine and even able to run the 940 BE as well. Hope you all got everything worked out. The M2N32 sli deluxe is a great board and is crazy that this board is even able to support a chip as new as the 940.
