Registry problem windows GUI missing for all users

Hello,
I have messed with system registry and now GUI for all users are missing. I manually added explorer.exe in system registry but no benefit. running explorer using task manager opens up my documents folder

Oh dear - did you back eth Registry up before playing around with it? Using Explorer, check in c:\windows\system32\config and list here the names of all the files in that folder. Wait until someone advises which to rename and delete to try to get your system back up.[/#000ff]

It maynot be a terminal problem - you might still have a fairly recent System.sav in that folder. If you have, rename System to system.old and system.sav to system. You'll need to do this using an XP or Hirens CD so the copies can be made outside the GUI.
