Hi there

so i got this new rig 1 week ago with the following spec :

Intel Core i7 920
GA-EX58-UD3R
Kingston DDR3
XFX 9800GTX+
Gigabyte 800w Odin

I OC'ed to my i7 using Easy Tuner 6 (which came with the MoBo) to 3.2

After playing Crysis for for an hour i got the following Results :

Core#0 70c
Core#1 72c
Core#2 65c
Core#3 64c

Those are the max. Temps my proccesor reached

My question is :

Are these Temps too high or OK?

Note that i'm using the stock cooler

Those temperatures are okay.

Run Prime95, check your temperatures and check for errors 6-24 hours.

With a stock cooler those temps are pretty high... I would look at aftermarket cooling.

This is my favorite so far...

You need a big case for it tho...

Thanks for the reply

An aftermarket cooler is not an option right now.

Gonna run Prime95 and will post results

So i ran Prime95 and the Temps reached up to 82c and didn't risk it anymore and stopped the test

Got no errors tho

EDIT : used the "Blend" option

You have to enable "Round off checking" in order to see errors. Sorry I didn't tell you before. Be sure to test all 4 cores. Best to choose small or large FFTs.
