Unable to format jump drive

i was using my 8gb jump drive and was trying to load a game onto it...midway thru the install i recieved an error warning and now the entire usb will not work...when i plug it into the cpu it loads fine and shows all my files...when i try to open the files it says unable to find file check name and try again...then the jump drive goes empty...i cant save anything on it or take anything off of it...when i try to format it i get a windows is unable to complete format message...the data on it is not that important...i just need to be able to use it again...please help

Burn this to CD, and use it to reformat the drive.
