Q9550 normal temperature

just abit paranoid,
since i can't find the answer after searching on the web for a while, i decide to ask it in here

regarding intel Q9550 temperature
what the normal temperature for Q9550 on standard air cooling ?

my core temperature is around 37°C at idle and goes to 50°C under load
is that normal ? while its not really hot, but from what i read on some review, Q9450 idle at 30°C and 45°C under load
i am expecting Q9550 should have same temperature

my system is :
XFX 790i ultra sli
4gb DDR3

that's normal you wouldn't want your temps going over 65c

Depends on a number of things if you comparing another CPU:

1.) ambient temps at the time readings were taking
2.) The type of program, or tjmax setting the program used for core temps
3.) Airflow of the case

Those key things would off set temp readings using the same/simliar hardware but yet different ambient temps & airflow .

Also depends on CPU cooler you have....

thanks for the reply everyone

i use intel stock fan, as for airflow i guess no problem with it since the case i am use have enuf space for airflow
while the room a bit warm lately, i usually use cooler and set 25c
