Hi all

just wondering if toms are going to update the cpu chart?

it is dated 2007 and none of the newer processors are in it.

Is the cpu chart dead ?

Yes i totally agree i think the charts should be updated as new hardware comes out. the old charts were really good like that.

yes, that one of the problems wiht this forum non of the editors/writers use it, sigh.

Last time they updated the charts they moved to a crappier version. The 2006 version was much nicer than the 2007.

Maybe they are reworking the whole thing for a better 2008 chart?

Given the quality and technical depth decline since the site transferred ownership, it's pretty clear the owners don't want to invest much money in it. I wouldn't expect any improvements.

it is a real pity though, the charts were great, a real help to be able to compare at a glance without reading pages and pages to just get an idea of the result you were looking for.

I am sure they will have the 2008 charts but I am doubting they will be as nice as previous charts like the 2006 or lower. Those were nice because you could choose 2 specific CPUs to compare and it would highlight them out of the list making it easy to compare. Same with the old GPU charts.

Oh well I guess I can dream right???

Maybe if everyone clicked on a few banners when they came to visit the THG Forum we could convince the powers that be of the need for a CPU Chart update.

We can help 'em out and they can commit the resources to update the charts.

I found this post when I was looking for my post on the same CPU chart subject. Tom must have delete all me posts. They are all gone. There were only 6 of them but still they are gone!

They really don't want to talk about updated charts, LOL.
