So I just added a gtx 260 to my machine, replacing a x1900xt. Everything is running without errors but things seems to be a little slow (installing drivers, new programs etc). I'm running an Antec Truepower 550w that's about a year old, according to their calculator its enough for my system, but its close. Last time I had an issue with system power it caused all kinds of issues/crashes. Is it possible that I could have an underpowered system, but not be experiencing any problems besides lower performance?

Actual power draw compared to what the vid card recomends is a long ways off. with a quad core, 8800gt, 4gigs of ram I belive the actual power draw is less then 300 watts. Your system is likely operating within your PSU capabilities.

ya ur psu is fine. im running a quad oc and 2gtx 260 with a 500w and ur only using 1 gtx 260 lol so ya power isnt a issue unless ur psu is dieing which probably isnt the problem.
