Hello,
error message i keep getting: "please write the following label on a blank disk and insert it into e:/..." yet I can find no tutorials on how one "writes" on a blank disk. does a link to such an intruction exist?

That instruction is telling you to get out a felt tip pen (NEVER use a ball point on a CD/DVD) and write directly on the front of the CD/DVD (label side only)

This line: "please write the following label on a blank disk and insert it into....."

Not much else that could be saying.... This is a common instruction when creating the restore discs on a new machine.
