Well my last system finally bit the dust so I am planning on building a new system. I have a mATX case and a 400w PSU so I am somewhat limited to options. I am trying to build an all around system that will last for years to come without needing too many upgrades. This is what I am considering at the moment:
HDD and optical drives are being moved over from old system as well. These are the components that I feel need to be upgraded right now. What do you think?
maybe what made your old system bite the dust is the 400w PSU

Ok that whole plan has been ditched. I am going to buy a new case and PSU so I am not limited to only mATX boards. I am now leaning toward an Intel Q6600 but I am unsure what board to match it with. I want something with decent onboard video because I have no plans of purchasing a video card in the near future. I am going to stick with the OCZ ram but instead of 1066 I think I will get the 800Mhz. Any suggestions on a mobo with decent intergrated video and at least one HDMI port?
Also a board with some decent overclocking and timing adjustments would be nice. I dont do much of that now but would like to have the option in the future.

Your going to be hard pressed to find onboard video on any motherboard these days that allows you to overclock. Your best bet is getting a cheap PCI-16 card. Anyways I put together a build that might interest you. It has everything you want as far as being able to overclock that cpu...or any Intel quad or dual core for that matter, and it's not a spendy build.
The case is roomy inside giving you plenty of room to work with, it comes stock with 2 case fans and a side airduct wich you will want if and when you decide to overclock your cpu. The power supply is a good one, and it's on sale right now. The best part about this build is the motherboard. That is the new P45 Intel chipset motherboard ....they are new to the market, and they are supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread...especially if you plan on overclocking in the future. The prices on those boards are going to go up soon, not down. Also that board comes with all the latest bios and drivers so there is nothing for you to download when you make your build...it's just plug and play. The vid card is cheap yet decent. It's a PCI-express and it's plug and play.
