I have a interesting scenario here.

I recently bought a PCI SB X-Fi ExtremeGamer Fatal1ty card and was looking at moving to the PCI-E version instead.

To make a long story short here, I was looking at a local store and they had a PCI-E X-Fi ExtremeGamer Fatal1ty card for $99.00. This doesn't make much sense to me, that sounds to cheap.

I looked at the display sign for it and the part number is (CL SB073A).

I've looked this up and all I can come up with is a cheapy PCI X-fi card.

Anyone know anything about this card?

when i looked into buying a soundcard for my current rig i was checking out different x-fi models, and slot types. soundblaster may not be the best, but for the price, cant really compare.
From all the info i have seen and read, the pci-e x-fi's are tottal crap. just go to an online retailer like newegg and look at the reviews there if you have any doubt. i have a pci x-fi extreme gamer fatality pro and its great. Even on my old old soundblaster 6.1 surround speakers.
So my opinion as far as that goes is dont get the pci-e version. But im no pro :)
