I would say the ATI part it supports the newer API although that only matters if your using Vista.

Are you kidding. The 4850 destroys the 9800. The 4870 out-shines The GTX260. And it cost $100 less.

Get two 4850 going on CF and it destroys the GTX 280..easily, and it's still $100 cheaper then 1 GTX 280. Boy did Nvidia F-Up on this release.

Anyway, everybody on Tomshardware should switch to ewiz. Newegg prices are a rip off and the reviewers on that site are just lame!

I would say go with a 4850, it's performance is great for the price. If you're looking to burn some cash, crossfire with 4850's or 4870's is a win win scenario

4870, without a doubt.
