my motherboard maximum memory support

hello to all

i have GiGABYTE GA-945PL-S3P motherboard in it's specification is wroted about memory as follow

1. 4 DDR II DIMM memory slots (supports up to 2GB memory)
2. Supports 1.8V DDR II DIMM
3. Supports dual channel DDR II 667/533/400 DIMM

my question is that whether every this motherboard slot supports up to 2GB memory or this motherboard

More about motherboard maximum memory support
  1. It looks to me like it supports up to 2GB, not 4. That's a little surprising since it supports newer CPUs and has 4 memory slots. I didn't think too many people used 512 sticks anymore.
  2. I would guess that it would support up to 8gb and meant it supports up to 2gb DIMMs x 4.
  3. 2GB dimms for sure... I installed on Asus board with intel 945GC and it accepted 2GB stick
