why 2 9500GT? They are not gaming card, even in SLI.

Instead get a a P35 mobo with a 8800GT better without the trouble of SLI.

If you already have the cards, I think the 750i/a will be the cheapest.

does this have to do with your 300 pound new build post? do you already have the 9500s?

thing about sli is that it doesn't perfectly scale. meaning a second card doesn't make it twice as good. so it is typically better to buy the best single card you can afford. rather than buying two cheaper cards.

Every time I read a topic like this I think "Man, those marketing people over at Nvidia should really be given an award for the work they did selling SLI" because people (like the OP) don't really have a clue what it is but man do they want it!

they sure did do a good job. people always praise SLI regardless of how little performance it gives. but seriously, SLI'ing two 9500GT's is pointless. just because it can be done doesn't mean it should be. you could get a 9600GT for less than the price of the 2 9500's. Heck, if you look hard enough, you could probably find a 4850 with a big enough rebate to make the price match the 2 9500's.

my guess is the OP already has 1? maybe weighing options between cost of 1 more vs cost of new single card??

hahahahaahahah, let me guess you bought you already have the 9500's think that they would work in SLi in a standard motherboard thinking that it would trash most 8800's; rihgt?

well here what you got to do. send you card back (both of them while there still in warrenty?) and get a single hd4850 or 8800gt 512. then get a p35 or a p43 board.

dont waste your money on SLi/Crossfire unless the cards are top line (4870/gtx280) or second top (4580/gtx260) or it just not going to scale at all. although it never scale apart from in number crunching where it is roughly X2 (See floding at home)
