Id get the gigabyte only because its got more onboard USB ports and has 4xPCIe 1x whereas the ASUS only as 2

Those are p43 boards. Get p45 instead, since it's only $10 more.

It supports 1600mhz fsb and ddr2 1200 natively, as opposed to the "overclocked (o.c.)" support rating of those p43 boards.

thanks for the suggestions ill think about it are there any other reasons why i should get a p 45 MB? also if i got an open box motherboard of a more expense model would it come with whats required to work?
