I have strange temps with my ninja scythe copper cooler i have been looking around for a solution, i have seen recently that there may be two ways to install the mounting bars, does anyone know if they should be installed to the left and right of the cpu socket or the top and bottom of the socket like this http://www.xbitlabs.com/misc/pictu [...] bb.jpg&1=1 anyone with any info on this would be very much appreicated!

What are your temperatures anyways? In any case, have you checked the manual?

q6600 3.2ghz idle = 47,48,44,40

on load using prime 95 the first 2 cores get to 75+ quite quickly whilst the other two seem to stay around 65 this is why i think theres an issue, this is the manual for ninja scythe copper http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/produc [...] ja-cu.html as youll see very confusing!

That's not the manual! It looks more like the product page. And according to this video (which shows the heatsink being actually installed btw), the manul would have the answers :P
