I am not looking to spend much more than that for a mb and ram

Also will the price of the 9450 drop in the next few weeks? Also how much will the price of a 9800gx2 drop end of the month when the new cards come out? and if they wont drop what is a good card for $200-300 that will give me great performance?

No one knows for sure when the price drop of the q9450 will be. It can be after Q3, when they drop the q9450 completely, and lower the q9550 to the price of what the q9450 is right now and introduce the q9650.

If you plan to overclock, that's mobo won't be able to.

buy a 790i SLI if you are goin to use a mobo with DDR3

only get get the above post mobo, if you are planning to sli. I would recommend getting the P5Q deluxe or Rampage Formula (both are good for overclocking).

Well I would like to overclock so i guess that mobo is out of the q then. Is there a good deal with a mobo and ram thats around the same price range as that, that will support a quad core cpu, either the 6600 or the 9450? ddr3 or ddr2 is of no importance right now, which ever is faster/ more cost effective.

Also any clue about the 9800's price?

If price is an object by the 750i SLI, extremely good overclocker, some boards do tri sli some do dual and it uses DDR2 technology, you can pick up 2GB of DDR2 for $70 or less these days

Yea I would like to get the mobo, ram, cpu all for $500-$600 or so, that would put my total cost at around $1300-$1500 depending on gpu price by the end of this month. And none of the 750i boards seem to have 6 usb ports, only 4 :(

You made a 9 on a scale from 1-10 on that buy... 10 being good! I would have given you a 10, but I'm a dual core fanboi. :P

Seriously though, that buy you posted is great! Those new P45 mobo's are supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread...and that Asus board you chose looks to be first cabin all the way. The memory is great...especially if you plan on overclocking, and you got that quad for a bargain. Whatever you decide to change on this build, don't change up on those last three items you linked us to. Those are all great / smart buys. :)

Ok, one thing I would change up on is the thermal compound to that Artic Cooling MX-2. It's going to be the downfall of Arctic Silver 5. It works better for brining your temps down, it's non conductive, there is no set up ...curring time with it, and it last for years. It beats Silver 5 all the way around....here I'l link ya, read the reviews on it. Iv'e used it in my last two builds and I swear by it.
