I was wondering if anyone can tell me the HD specification of the Dell Inspiron Mini 9; is it 2.5"?

I have a corrupt system file preventing windows from starting - if the HD is 2.5" then I can try using an adapter to convert it to 3.5" which would allow me to install the file manually via my desktop computer. I don't want to open the netbook and void my warranty if the HD is not the right size for use with an adapter.

The reason I ask is that it's a mini notebook - I didnt know whether it may be smaller than 2.5"?

Thanks

I don't own a Dell Mini 9 myself, but what you can do is go to Device Manager to check the model your hard disk (it should be under "Disk Drives" or something similar). Once you get the model, search for it on Google, which should reveal whether or not it's a 2.5" HDD. Good luck, and let us know if that helps.
