I want to get a combo DVR recorder and VCR. Other than not getting it
because it's two devices in one case, what are your recommendations?

Which brands are good? Which ones should I avoid? Or is the quality so
bad that it's not worth it?

My major reason for wanting to get it is to free up space in my
equipment rack.
