You can go with 500W for the PSU depending on the graphics card.
I would go for a Corsair HX-520 or choose from below:

AMD Certified PSUs (Single+Crossfire):

Certified SLI-Ready Power Supplies

X38 is a chipset and 975 another older chipset. You are looking at X38, not Intel 975 with that motherboard. Maybe you meant LGA 775, which is the socket.

1. Good plan
2. That is motherboard I have- great board but you don't need a $220+ motherboard. Look at the P45 boards instead. Asus P5Q Pro (Crossfire board) or MSI P45 Neo-F (non X-fire but only $99)
3. This RAM has had issues. I would go with G.Skill kits instead.
4. Good
5. Brand?
6. PC Power and Cooling 610W instead
7. You can do better here
8. Ok

Overall- Fair, you can do better with suggestions above
Change the PSU to what I said, Antec PSUs are just OK
Read above on motherboard
P45/X38 will OC great. I got my Q6600 to 3.6 easily.

Like vochtige said though, it might be hard to plug in that monitor without a video card.

The Xigmatek is rated No. 2 at the moment. Your choice is not bad though.

If you are gaming you need a graphics card. For just general use (ie word processing, XP, etc) you can get away without one.

If you are gaming go with Vista 64bit and 4gb of RAM.
