The support person at Gigabyte who would answer this question has not been in for two days.

OCZ's tone jail is not working -- it doesn't respond to the tones you press.

NewEgg does not answer any kind of technical questions, SO . . .

For me, the hardest part about choosing the components for a new system is selecting memory that's compatible with the motherboard. The manufacturer lists a few part numbers but the selection is very limited and many more memory sticks will work with the board.

Can somebody tell me if this memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

will work with this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks.

If you are having trouble with current Gigabyte boards, I recommend going to tweaktown.com where they have a Gigabyte forum to provide free technical support for their motherboards, graphics cards and other products!

http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/

I had memory timing issues on my P35-DS3L that I could not resolve and posted on their board and got a response within 2 hours - on the 4th of July. There are several moderators - if you get Lsdmeasap, tell him hello for me. He was a lifesaver for me. Helped me tweak memory timings to make my memory work properly.

You could search the forum for your board and see if there are recommendations or what experience others have had and, if necessary, post your question there.
