Hi,

I just added an old Maxtor 300Gig IDE Drive to my new system. Everything looks fine in the BIOS, but it isn't visible to Fedora - I can't mount it to the file system. All my other Drives are SATA including the boot drive, they're all fine.

Any thoughts?

What format is the drive? have you tried looking at it with something like Gparted to see what it believes the partitioning and format is.

It is all one NTFS partition, but Fedora usually doesn't have any trouble with this. On my old system (also Fedora 11) I had both read and write access to the drive without any problems.

*Bump*

Still not found a solution... would I be better off asking in the linux forum?

Incidentally, Gparted can't see the disk either.
