I bought a Hp slimline 3220n, not knowing I'd soon get into gaming.
I went to upgrade it, and found out from two different places
that due to the size of the machine, normal graphics cards wont fit.
I bought a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS graphics card, and sure enough
the card sticks out about an inch from the case, but once you bend the back metal of the machine at the spot the card fits into the card will fit.
There is also a little piece of metal blocking where the monitor cable will go, which i just twisted off with pliers (like a tab on a soda can).
right now, the case lid is off untill i cut out where the graphics card sticks out before i can shut the case. But it runs fine!
its fast and i get no lag. Im not a hardware/computor guy, but its been 4 months with no problems and alot of people like me are angered once you find out you cant upgrade it without special-ordered parts.
I thought maybe people wanting to upgrade there slimline might want to know this.

Most people would just buy the low profile card
