No sound on rewritable dvd

Hello,
i have a hp compaq nx 9010 and i can watch and listen to my movies but when i download them to my dvd rewriter the sound goes but the picture stays ive tried different codecs but i still cant fix the problem as im new to this sort of stuff can someone help im using windows xp pro if thats any help

Don't know exactly what you mean by "download" to the DVD, but this site can help you learn about audio and video files and how to work with them.
