First post here so be gentle. I've spent the greater part of 2 hours now reading about heatsink/fan options and it's definitely information overload. Anyhow, after finally settling on one, I'm now unsure of the fit.

What I have:

- Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
- Antec 300 case
- Corsair TX750W PSU

Planning to buy:

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
- GSkill 4GB (2 x 2GB) F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK (x2 for 8GB RAM)

After reading, I had decided on the Magahalem. However, in reading a review with someone that had it on another Gigabyte board, it seems it may be too large after mounting a fan -- it would run over the first DDR RAM slot. I believe a poster here also stated they have the 300 case and it eliminates the possibility to use the 120mm side panel fan.

Does anyone have this mobo/case combo by chance? If so, what heatsink/fan combo did you go with?

Suggest you get a 500W PSU instead. 750W is too much, even if you get a video card.

Are you planning to overclock your CPU? Unless you're based in a hot country and you won't use the computer in an air-conditioned room, you'd do just fine with the stock CPU cooler.
