So with the release of the new video cards i figured it was time to settle on my next computer. I've tried to use alot of the feedback I've seen on the forums to guide me since i haven't looked at computer hardware in a long time.
-I'd like to keep the computer's price with in a few hundred dollars of what i have now.
-So my big question is about what vid card to get, from reading it seems like it's between the 8800 the 9800 or the new Radeon 4850 when they come out. I'm also wondering if the choice is to get the Radeon card if i should swich to an AMD/Nvidia processor MoBo for compatibility or if it shouldn't make a difference.
Hmmm....
There is not a single problem if you wanna combine any of those GPUs with AMD or Intel Procs, nVidia, AMD, or Intel chipset.
The only thing you should pay attention is that there are 2 double GPU configurations.
The one is SLI and the other one is Crossfire.
ATI GPUs are crossfire GPUs and nVidia GPUs are SLI GPUs.
If you are aiming a 2 GPU system than match your mobo and your GPUs with those SLI or Crossfire configuration.
