Just list the model number, wattage, and 12v rail amperage rating on the sticker. The link doesn't work.

crizzletin I beleave the 8800 gts 512 uses more than 18 amps on the 12 volt line, the rest of your parts look good, but the psu I wouldn't try the 430 on that system.the psu you have only has 1 12 volt rail and it only has 18 amps on it.get a psu with 2 or three 12 volt rail with at least 18 amps on all three rails,or a psu with 1-12 volt rail with at least 30 or 40 amps to be safe.hope this helps you out.

I would go for a Corsair 450VX or Antec Earthwatts 430/500, there are many other high tier units that would work as well, but those are the first two that come to mind.

I would stear clear of Thermaltake, their reputation has been steadily declining over the past few years. The Toughpower series are the only ones I'd trust, and even then not all of the units in that series.

I would spend the money on a quality unit and not have to worry about it, personally. It's your choice, of course.

Also, it doesn't matter what the wattage say in the product name, the main thing to look at in deciding on a PSU is the combined 12V rail rating (which for a 8800GTS 512 should be 24A minimum - IIRC, the TR2 you listed is 18A).

Yuck, don't try it. It has 18A on a 12V rail and that's it. The 8800GTS needs something with 28A. You might damage the card.

Get this one, for example:
OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W, $60 after rebate with free shipping

Edit: here's an even better option:
This Corsair 650TX is a better and more powerful PSU, for $70 after rebate/shipping/Google Checkout.

An Earthwatts 430W has 30A on the 12V rail and is relatively cheap.

Antec earthwatts EA430 430W ATX12V v2.0 Power Supply - $30 after MIR w/ free shipping ($60 before)

Which in the Toughpower series? The reason I ask is that I am working in Saudi Arabia, one of my friends will be building a new computer soon, and TT is about the best brand available here. RaidMax is next.

The Toughpower 850W gets excellent reviews, for example. I don't have one myself but it was on my short list last time and I read a lot about it.

@OP: please ignore this part. You don't need an 850W PSU, not even close.
That Earthwatts 430W KyleSTL found for you is good enough, and $30 is a great price. The $70 650TX would be reusable in your next build, but you probably won't want to pay $40 more just for that.

I think I was mistaken, the Purepower series is pretty hit-or-miss because some units are manufactured by Channel Well (very good) and others by Sirtec (not so good).

The Toughpower series appears to be manufactured solely by Channel Well, so they should all be pretty good. For more model-by-model specifics you should look up reviews by respected sites (SilentPCReview, JonnyGuru, Anandtech, etc).

BTW, that TR2 unit you originally asked about is assembled by HEC/CompuCase under the UL cert # E199442. HEC is junk and should not be trusted, especially with high power hardware and such a low 12V rating (18A)

The TR2 you listed is $41 and the EW 430 is $60 before MIR, after MIR they are $31 and $30, respectively, so you'd end up spending less in the long run.

As far as memory goes, get this:
