Newegg Deal today ?

Hey folks,

Just got my Newegg deal email today and in it it has the Antec 1200 case w/750w PSU Combo deal with a Seagate Barracuda 1TB harddirve all for $249.99. How good is this hardrive? Is the Samsung F3 still the better choice (which btw Newegg has discontinued ont eh 1TB model)?

i dontreally trust seagate, but at that price, give it a shot, it might surpriser you

It's an attractive price, but if most of the folks here don't trust Seagate then I'll pass on the deal. I don't liek to shortcut my rigs with crap parts.

Which barracuda model? The 7200.11 is sketchy, but the 7200.12 is a good drive. I'd be perfectly comfortable with a 7200.12 drive (as they fixed most of the issues that plagued the .11 drives)

^+1. Imo, it's a pretty good deal. You can use the saved money on a better GPU, more RAM,etc.
